eFOUR Program Complex of Front-Office Systems of Universal Retails of Bank Products

The maintenance by a bank of its competitiveness in the market not only sets the tasks of a "geographical" expansion of the bank's network and of its product diversification. The bank is also faced with the tasks to minimize costs and ensure the required number of its employees to attract and service customers.
The implementation in the bank of technologies which enable the customers to be serviced irrespective of where they approach the bank and with respect to any bank products offered by the bank through a common interface makes it possible to resolve the tasks set in full.

Advantages of Employing eFOUR Program Complex:

  • The installation of several different systems at employees' workstations for selling different bank products various is not required (owing to a common web-based interface);
  • Operation with the Joint Register of Customers allows both an existing customer and a prospect customer be serviced as promptly as possible at any bank's outlet;
  • Simplified procedures of both recording the customer and selling various bank products allow the bank's outlet network to be manned with employees with no special education;
  • The centralized user management service of Program Complex allows the right to the sale and service of various products of the bank to be established;
  • The possibility of the integration of additional SOA-ready modules and system with no necessity to update Program Complex; and
  • Producing the register of reports on various types of transactions performed through Program Complex.

Joint Register of Bank Customers

The Joint Register of Customers in which information about all of the bank's customers is kept in a centralized manner is the principal combining component of Program Complex
Information about a customer in this register is standard one, and all the changes in ABS B2's databases of the branches and other adjacent systems are made based on changes in entries of this register.
The principal functions of the bank's employees in keeping the Joint Register of Customers are as follows:-

  • Search for an individual customer;
  • Recording a new customer; and
  • Search for a corporate customer (for operation with corporate cards).

Bank Products

Products which are sold through Program Complex, as well as are managed in a centralized manner are a second component of Program Complex.
The sale of the following bank products is implemented in Program Complex:-

  • Checking (current) accounts;
  • Card accounts;
  • Cards;
  • Deposits; and
  • Loans.

Upon selection of one of the types of bank products, information about products of the same type already purchased by the customer as well as the list of available transactions (authorized for the customer) are displayed.
When working with card accounts and cards, all the operations are performed in a close integration with card processing of the bank.
Work on selling loans is carried out in Program Complex by means of integration with Credit::eCSpert system as a new SOA-ready module. In doing so, the customer is recorded in the Joint Register of Customers and а further work with a procured / found customer is carried out within the framework of the business process provided for in Credit::eCSpert system.

Corporate Cards for Corporate Customers

For its corporate customers, the bank offers the opportunity of servicing corporate cards.
For each corporate account, it is possible to look through current information about balances, overdraft amounts established and irreducible balances as well as about the performance of a number of operations, namely:-

  • Change in an overdraft amount;
  • Change in an irreducible balance amount;
  • Card opening for an account;
  • Search for a card;
  • Looking through documents related to a corporate account; and
  • Producing printed documents for an account.

Register of Reports

Implemented in Program Complex is the production of reports on various types of operations performed during a period (both separately for each operation type and consolidatedly for all of the operation types).
In addition, the production of a printed form of payment order is available for each of the cash flow transactions.

User and Right Management

Provided for in Program Complex are:-

  • User authorization in the beginning of work session;
  • Provision of a digital signature in performing operations related to payments;
  • Employment of Cipher digital signature and cryptoprotection means;
  • User account management;
  • User activity management;
  • System settings management;
  • Functioning business rules management; and
  • Directory management.

Architecture of the System

Thanks to employing an approach using ESB, the Program Complex architecture makes it possible to combine, by a common interface, various systems which are used by the bank when selling various products. In doing so, all the principal functions which should be performed by the bank's experts are ensured.

The Program Complex architecture proposed differs radically from the traditional approach in accordance wherewith any change in one of the systems requires making changes in all of the interacting systems. In employing the approach using ESB, any change in one of the Program Complex systems requires only the modification of the adapter to this system and data exchange rules.

Enhancements Planned:

  • The connection of new SOA-ready modules (iFOBS, EMOS systems and others);
  • The development of a subsystem of setting products and the terms of sale thereof directly in Program Complex (not in ABS B2 of the branches);
  • Cash module; and
  • Offering the opportunity to the administrator to build report templates for the products used in Program Complex.
