BTT (Bug Tracking Tool) is a software product designed for allowing cooperation of the CS company specialists and customers when working on projects. It can also be used for other purposes by the customer for solving various tasks inside their company. Main functions of the system:
Customers are registered in the system as groups of users. Each user has an authorized access to the system. The user is given the right to the number of projects they need, and their reference to one of the groups is indicated.
- Adding enquiries (tasks) on the project, setting the task, determining its priorities, terms of completion and a number of additional features;
Planning is done by the project manager and is based on the estimated labour-intensiveness required by the task set and the functioning capacity of the employees involved in the project.
At the stage of maintenance servicing, it is possible to register all telephone calls from the customer(s), prioritize them, determine their status, and reference to the existing enquiries, etc. It is essential at the point of consulting on the project, for keeping track of the time spent on the realization of the particular project, for analyzing the problem spots of the project which require most consultations, etc.
The producer fills in the work register at the end of each working day. He/she specifies he tasks completed during the day and indicates the exact time he/ she spent on each one of them. It is necessary for further analysis of the producer's performance, and for keeping track of the real time the company spent carrying out the particular project. Platform and products used in the process of designing the system The system is based on the following products of the Microsoft company: Windows 2000 server, MS Internet Information Server, ASP, MS Indexing Service. |
